Toffee Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 600g double cream
  • 240g unsalted butter
  • 240g dark brown sugar
  • 50g black treacle
  • 50g golden syrup
  • Method

    Place all the ingredients into a heavy based saucepan and bring slowly to the boil, stirring occasionally.  The sauce will thicken as it cools.

    (This recipe also works in the microwave by placing all ingredients together in a bowl/jug)
